Presentations and Action Items
This year’s Pacific Southwest Organic Residuals Symposium, PORS 2009, looked at ways to achieve greenhouse gas reductions, select and fund new technologies, and coordinate cross-media regulations. The symposium was intended for those involved in putting organic residuals to their best uses: the public and private sectors, researchers, students, laboratory technicians, and environmental groups.
The symposium was sponsored by the United States Environmental Protection Agency Pacific Southwest Region (Region 9), California Integrated Waste Management Board, Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board, California Department of Food and Agriculture, Western United Dairymen, Sustainable Conservation, California Association of Sanitation Agencies, Sacramento Municipal Utilities District, and the University of California at Davis.
