Symposia Presentations:
2012 | 2011 | 2010 | 2009
The eighth annual California Bioresources Alliance Symposium was held September 18-19, 2013. CPUC Commissioner Carla Peterman gave the keynote on the future of bioenergy, and the opening session focused on recent California legislation addressing bioresources.
Other sessions included an update on the Bioenergy Action Plan, biogas challenges faced by wastewater treatment plants, the federal/state dairy digester initiative and dairy clustering, forestry products and urban residuals options, facility siting issues, and use of bioresources for mine reclamation. The afternoon of the second day there was a field trip to the Sacramento Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant to see the Sacramento Municipal Utilities District biogas enhancement project and the Synagro biosolids pelletizer.
The symposium brought together industry professionals, municipalities, regulators, legislators, state and federal agencies, researchers, financers, and others involved in California organic residuals. The two day event was co-hosted by University of California (UC) Davis Extension and the US Environmental Protection Agency, Region 9.
