US/Mexico
The United States and Mexico have a long history of cooperation on environmental issues. Most recently, the two countries jointly proposed the Border 2012 program, which will focus on decreasing pollution and lowering the risks of exposure to air pollution, pesticides and other chemicals.

US/Canada
The United States and Canada made an historic commitment to address transboundary air pollution issues in the 1991 U.S.-Canada Air Quality Agreement. To date, acid rain and ozone have been the primary focus of cooperation under the Agreement. In 2003, the two countries renewed their commitment to build on these transborder air quality improvements and develop new cooperative projects for the years ahead.
