Setting Up a Paper Recycling Program
In 2011, 62.5 percent of all paper and paperboard produced in the US was recovered for recycling. This means we are throwing away about half the newspapers, mail, magazines, catalogs, paperboard packaging, and boxes that we could be recycling.

- School or Office – Schools, including K-12, colleges, and universities, and offices that typically generate white paper, mixed paper, corrugated cardboard, magazines and journals, and newspaper.
- Residential – Residences, which most commonly generate newspapers, as well as mail, magazines, catalogs, paperboard packaging, and boxes.
- Commercial – Commercial or industrial locations that generate large amounts of corrugated cardboard.
