The Binational Toxics Strategy Mercury Workgroup is no longer active. This site includes an archive of workgroup documents, links to information about understanding the impact of mercury on human health and the environment and the behavior of mercury in the environment, and, about reducing use and release of mercury, whether through regulation or through sector-specific voluntary activites.
The Great Lakes Regional Collaboration is currently implementing mercury reduction strategies for mercury-containing products and mercury emissions.
