Integrated Water Quality Reports (Sections 305(b) Reports, including 303(d) Lists)

Section 305(b) of the Clean Water Act requires states to assess and report on the water quality status of waters within the states. Section 303(d) requires states to list waters that are not attaining water quality standards. This is also known as the list of impaired waters. This information is reported to Congress on a nationwide basis.

EPA has issued guidance to the states recommending the submittal of 305(b) and 303(d) information in one Integrated Report, and has developed a National Summary of Impaired Waters and TMDL Information website to provides information on water quality conditions reported by the states to EPA under Sections 305(b) and 303(d) of the Clean Water Act, and to support states in their reporting. Not all states have provided integrated data to EPA. Click on Status of Available Data to see whether or not Integrated Reports are available for individual states.\
