Pollution Prevention Metal Finishing
This pilot ended in 2003. It verified the performance of commercial-ready metal finishing technologies that are designed to improve industry performance and achieve cost-effective pollution prevention results. These technologies were verified in cooperation with Concurrent Technologies Corporation.
The Metal Finishing Pilot verified technologies in the following categories:

- Chromate conversion coating solution maintenance
- Metal finishing energy conservation
- Wastewater treatment and sludge reduction
