GSA offers a variety of environmental products and services to its federal customers to assist them in their efforts to comply with procurement responsibilities outlined in federal environmental laws and regulations.

Comprehensive Procurement Guidelines (CPG)
This website promotes the procurement of products
made with recycled-content materials. It provides
information on CPG and EPA's Recovered Materials
Advisory Notices, which recommend recycled-content
levels for CPG items. This site also contains a
list of manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers of
designated products; fact sheets; buy-recycled news;
and related links.

Environmentally Preferable Products (EPP) Program
Environmentally Preferable Purchasing (EPP) is a
federal-wide program that encourages and assists
Executive agencies in the purchasing of environmentally
preferable products and services. This website
contains guidance and tools for initiating an EPP
program, case studies, a list of resources and upcoming
events, and an open forum to encourage discussions
of EPP issues.

Part of EPA's mission is to ensure that Federal
facilities comply with all environmental regulations
and applicable Presidential Executive Orders, and
to assist Federal facilities in complying with these
requirements. This website contains compliance
assistance and pollution prevention information
specifically designed for Federal facilities.

for Government

With ENERGY STAR, you can uncover the link between
energy, fiscal, and environmental performance for
your agency. This website provides resources and
interactive tools to determine your facility's energy

This website offers information on green building
materials, water and energy conservation, and sustainable
development.
EPA's
Pollution Prevention Division
This website provides general information about
pollution prevention (P2) practices, describes the
array of P2 programs and initiatives administered
by EPA and other organizations, and provides contacts
for further information. The site also contains
a list of P2 publications, grants available to promote
P2 practices, ongoing programs and projects at EPA,
and information resources.

Waste Minimization Program
EPA's Waste Minimization Program works with industrial
organizations, government agencies, and communities
to find ways to help individual companies reduce
the amount of waste they generate, particularly
if the wastes contain one or more Waste Minimization
Priority Chemicals.

Federal Facilities Restoration and Reuse Website
EPA's Federal Facilities Restoration and Reuse Office
(FFRRO) works with the U.S. Department of Defense
(DoD), Department of Energy (DOE), and other Federal
entities to help them develop creative, cost-effective
solutions to their environmental problems. FFRRO's
overall mission is to facilitate faster, more effective,
and less costly cleanup and reuse of Federal facilities.

FedCenter.gov is the Federal government's home for comprehensive environmental stewardship and compliance assistance information.

Agency Affirmative Procurement Plan (PDF)

Developed by the White House Task Force on Recycling,
this plan is offered as a model that Federal agencies
can use in developing an Affirmative Procurement
Plan (APP) for the acquisition of EPA-designated
recycled content products. The model is offered
as guidance only and is not intended to replace
any existing agency plan or prevent an agency from
developing a more aggressive plan.
