Abstract
Measurements data used by EMAP are generated by following either field measurement methods or a combination of field collection and laboratory measurement methods. Each method will document how sample collecting and/or analysis activities are to be performed. This guidance document provides a method format applicable to all EMAP methods, to facilitate consistency across groups. The specifications provided in this guidance document will be mandatory for use in preparing all EMAP methods and standard operating procedures (SOPs) subsequent to this guidance. This document provides only the minimum documentation requirements for EMAP methods and methods manuals. It is not intended to provide guidance for the assessment of method validity.
