May 31, 1987 Clarification of an EPA Conditional Determination Made on June 9, 1980 3.22
A coal preparation facility and a surface
coal mine are located at a common site.
Since the two facilities are located at
the same site, are under the control of
the same owner,and belong to the same
Major Group in the SIC Manual they are
considered as one. The primary activity
of this source is coal mining, which is
not identified in the list of 28 source
categories with a potential emission
threshold of 100 tpy.
