December 30, 1977 Offset Requirements
for U.S. Steel's Fairfield Modernization 26.2
The construction of united States Steel Corporation's new Q-BOP vessel, blast furnace, and coke battery at their Fairfield Works are subject to the IR. Although these facilities may have been permitted by the State of Alabama, and/or commenced construction prior to the date of publication of the IR, they are still in violation of the requirements of 40 CFT 51.18. Therefore, in order for these facilities to continue construction and to begin operation.
