EPA Goal 4: Ensuring the Safety of Chemicals and Preventing Pollution |
Purpose
The National Library of Medicine (NLM), the National Institutes of Health, and the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services provide information online (householdproducts.nlm.nih.gov)
for thousands of consumer products in the Household Products Database. This database provides
information on the chemicals contained in brand-name products and the potential health
effects of these chemicals to consumers, scientists,
and other stakeholders.
CPSC staff will collaborate with the NLM to identify
approaches to enhance the database to provide information
on nanomaterials in consumer products. Staff will complete
a status report with a template for data submission.
