EPA Goal 2: Protecting America’s Waters |
Purpose
The Chesapeake Bay Program is a regional partnership that leads and directs Chesapeake Bay restoration
and protection. Bay Program partners include federal and state agencies, local governments,
non-profit organizations and academic institutions. The USDA is listed as a Federal Agency
Partner.

Geographic Program: Chesapeake Bay:
The Chesapeake Bay Program is a partnership among the States of Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia,
the Chesapeake Bay Commission, and the EPA (representing the federal government) working together to protect and restore the
Bay's ecosystem. Enforcement resources will focus on improving compliance with any new or existing water quality or air
regulations.
