The Air Pollution Control Technology Center operated in cooperation with RTI International. This center verified commercial-ready technologies that control stationary and mobile air pollution sources and mitigate the effects of indoor air pollutants. The center concluded operations in September 2013.

Technologies that control air pollution help to protect human health and our ecological resources by reducing or preventing environmental risks. This center verified technologies in a range of categories, including

• diesel engine emission controls
• baghouse filtration products
• nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compound emission controls
• dust suppression
• soil stabilization products and paint overspray arrestors
