Day 3

7am Another glorious morning, we decide to visit site 2 &see how they're doing w/ the bird nets. No cell coverage here, so updates later 06:58 AM August 27, 2008 from txt

Yesterday they caught 15 birds, some veerys, eastern phoebe, catbirds, american redstart. It was a great day for this time of year. 06:57 AM August 27, 2008 from txt

7:58am We're told a single bird had 10 ticks yesterday. Today, they've checked 4 birds & 12 ticks so far, 1 catbird still being checked. 06:57 AM August 27, 2008 from txt

It's 8:30 and we see lots of birds flying around the pond, they're getting active! Anticipate next net run will be good. 06:58 AM August 27, 2008 from txt

A little hummingbird in 1 net, their metabolism is high-they need to feed so often- the team works together to immediately free him. 06:58 AM August 27, 2008 from txt
