Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships Outreach Tool Kits

The Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships Initiative is committed to helping faith and community organizations learn about and access EPA programs that help enhance their capacity to serve their community and raise environmental awareness. This toolkit offers a one-stop-shop for organizations interested in learning about programs, partnership opportunities, and calls to action, and includes contact information for the Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships Office at EPA.

Faith-based service providers, like local churches, synagogues, temples, and neighborhood community organizations, are among the most commonly relied upon groups to assist communities.

This customized toolkit is designed to further assist faith groups and neighborhood communities in increasing their environmental awareness and stewardship, and improving their standards of living. It can help both congregations and community organizations that are just getting started, and those that have been providing services for many years. We hope this toolkit will:

  • Educate and foster stewardship in faith-based and community organizations
  • Expand the conversation on environmentalism
  • Encourage and aid faith-based and community organizations in starting a service project within their own congregation or with another organization
  • Provide information and assistance to existing faith-based and community organizations to learn about grant opportunities
