  Smcreporter
Smcreporter is an add-on program adapted to Agilent ChemStation (ChemStation) software for gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer (GC/MS) applications. It is intended to simplify and standardize EPA method 8261 surrogate matrix normalization for volatile organic compounds in a variety of environmental matrices (a description of method 8261 is available at https://www.epa.gov/sw-846/pdfs/8261.pdf [PDF, 68 pp., 277 KB]). The program allows all method 8261 functions to be accessed from the Agilent ChemStation Enhanced Data Analysis menu.

Smcreporter was written and tested using ChemStation product number G1701BA version
B.00.00 and G1701CA version C.00.00. It has been demonstrated to work for stand-alone data analysis on PCs using Windows 98 and Windows NT version 4 operating systems. It is designed to work only under the Enhanced Data Analysis mode of Agilent ChemStation.

Systems used to run Smcreporter along with ChemStation must meet the following minimum
requirements:

    • Windows NT 4.0 operating system
• Pentium 166 MHz
• Super VGA display (800 x 600 resolution)
• 1.2 GB hard disk
• CD-ROM drive
• 48 MB RAM for a 2D single instrument configuration,
plus 8 MB RAM for every additional instrument configured
