This map is a point and line map which was designed to represent and identify the 24k Quads within the state of Nevada. Attribute fields and data will be added as they become available which will allow this coverage to be used as a 24k Nevada BLM data index.

Purpose:

The purpose of this supplemental coverage is to serve as an index and locational guide to reference geographic points and locations.

This coverage originated from a U.S.G.S. 24k quad database that covered the Western United States. Using a Nevada 100k quad coverage for a background environment, the 24k quads for Nevada were selected to a distance of two quads beyond the 100k quad boundary, and clipped. The resulting 24k quad coverage encompasses the state of Nevada as well as extending into the surrounding states of California, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, and Arizona.
