RCRA Section 3007 Survey for Paint Manufacturing Facilities, February 15, 2000
EPA conducted a survey (Information Collection Request, or ICR, of the U.S. paint manufacturing industry to determine if certain residuals should be listed as hazardous waste under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Section 3001(b)(1)(42 U.S.C. 6921). EPA must promulgate final hazardous waste listing determinations for the following five paint production residuals: (1) solvent cleaning waste, (2) water/caustic cleaning wastes, (3) wastewater treatment sludge, (4) emissions control dust or sludge, and (5) off-specification production wastes. The information requested in this questionnaire is necessary for EPA to analyze how solid and hazardous waste is currently managed in the U.S. manufacturing industry.Supporting Documents
