MAIA Flowing Waters Report This assessment provides the first statistically unbiased assessment of the health of the streams and rivers in the Mid-Atlantic region. It combines data from two sample surveys conducted in the region by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency during the period 1993-98.
MAIA 1997-98 Summary Report This summary report examines thirteen measured or calculated parameters that serve as indicators of estuarine conditions for four major and twelve small estuaries in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Three important environmental issues are emphasized: eutrophication, contamination of the sediments, and the impairment of the biological communities in the estuaries.
Mid-Atlantic Landscape Atlas The Atlas is an EPA report assessing relative ecological conditions across the mid-Atlantic region of the United States encompassing Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Condition of the Mid-Atlantic Estuaries This report focuses on the current condition of the Mid-Atlantic estuaries (the Delaware Estuary, the Chesapeake Bay, and the Delmarva coastal bays) from the early- to mid-1990s, and how and why the estuaries have changed over the years.
Chesapeake Bay Monitoring Program Report The Chesapeake Bay Water Quality Monitoring Program includes elements to measure water quality, sediment quality, phytoplankton, zooplankton and benthic invertebrates.
