Landscape Characterization Information
EMAP's Landscape Characterization Coordinating Group used remote sensing and geographic information systems to estimate the areal extent of various kinds of resources within a given region. They assisted the EMAP groups to define their sampling frames by specifically locating and mapping the area of all resources of a particular kind within a region of interest.
