Project Purpose
The survey was designed to: (1) provide a systematic approach to establishing baseline estimates of health and environmental conditions along the Texas-Mexico border, (2) be generalizable to the entire Texas border region, and (3) provide data of adequate precision for determining the prevalence of elevated blood lead levels and antibodies to hepatitis A in children.
