FAQs

What information do these maps display?
This interactive map shows the locations of building material reuse and deconstruction service providers in the Pacific Southwest.  PLEASE CONTACT THE LOCATIONS DIRECTLY FOR SPECIFIC INFORMATION ON SERVICES AND MATERIALS PROVIDED AND TO VERIFY LOCATIONS AND HOURS OF OPERATION.  Contact information is available in pop-up bubbles for each facility once you have performed a search (see Instructions).

What are the limitations of interactive maps?
Interactive mapping tools are a challenge for accessibility due to the inherent visual aspects of mapping. These maps cannot be made fully accessible under Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (as amended in 1998).   For further assistance, please email buildingreuse@epa.gov. In addition, EPA does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the information nor have we assessed the qualifications of the organizations listed.

Who should use this information?
Building and property owners, builders, renovators, homeowners, planners, and architects can use the information to find potential deconstruction or building materials service providers.  Professionals from the economic development, environmental, or green jobs industries may use the map to find opportunities for deconstruction or reuse facility siting or expansion.

How can I get additional information on particular facility?

To display information about a particular site, either click on one of the providers listed in the results or use your mouse to hover over one of the icons to launch a pop-up balloon on the map.  Click on the additional links provided in the balloon for further information.  ALWAYS CONTACT THE FACILITY DIRECTLY TO VERIFY THE INFORMATION.

Are facilities missing from the map?
There may be facilities missing from the map, and we encourage anyone aware of additional facilities in the Pacific Southwest to contact us.
