- DOEs Industries of the Future Program
Creates partnerships between industry, government, and supporting laboratories and institutions to accelerate technology research, development, and deployment. The strategy is being implemented in nine energy- and waste-intensive industries.
- EPAs Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Program
Develops testing protocols and verifies the performance of innovative technologies that have the potential to improve protection of human health and the environment. ETV was created to accelerate the entrance of new environmental technologies into the domestic and international marketplace. ETV is also verifying monitoring and treatment technologies relevant for homeland security.
- EPAs National Risk Management Research Laboratory
Develops and demonstrates pollution prevention, recycling, and remediation technologies within areas of special interest and competency, including separations for recycling, reuse, and recovery of VOCs and metals.
- Federal Laboratory Consortium (FLC)

Nationwide network of federal laboratories working to link laboratory technologies and expertise with the marketplace. Brings laboratories together with potential users of government-developed technologies through the FLC Laboratory Locator Network and regional and national meetings.
- National SBIR Program Resource Center: Federal Laboratory R&D Resource Search

Allows users to search for technical resources within federal laboratories. Lists federal laboratories with research programs and expertise in the user-queried technical fields.
- National Technical Information Service
Sponsored by the US Department of Commerce, provides a central source for the distribution of scientific, technical, engineering, and related business information.
- National Technology Transfer Center

Provides American companies and individuals with access to federal research and development, technology assessment services, product testing and prototyping, and professional training and development.
