Michael Hewett, Manager Sustainability and Environmental Compliance, Publix Supermarkets, Inc. Michael has over twenty years of experience in environmental management, including regulatory compliance and sustainability programs. His career has been spent helping corporations build strong environmental compliance programs and sustainable business strategies.

Kasey Harris, Environmental Specialist, Hannaford Supermarkets. Kasey manages recycling and waste reduction initiatives for Hannaford Supermarkets. Kasey developed and executed the plan to double the number of stores with organic waste recycling processes at Hannaford, from 50 stores to 100 stores in 2011, removing more than 7,000 tons of food waste from landfills.

Heather Schmidt, Sustainability Manager for New Seasons Market. Heather developed and manages a comprehensive company-wide program that includes progressive waste reduction and diversion. Under Heather's leadership, the locally-owned and operated grocer with twelve locations implemented diverse waste prevention and donation efforts, cut their garbage in half, and more than doubled their compost. New Seasons Market is widely recognized for cutting edge sustainable practices, employee equity, and social responsibility.
