Nanotechnology under the Toxic Substances Control Act - This law provides EPA with a strong framework for ensuring that new and existing chemical substances are manufactured and used in a manner that protects against unreasonable risks to human health and the environment.

Final Nanotechnology White Paper - Office of the Science Advisor (OSA): EPA's Science Policy Council has issued the Nanotechnology White Paper (EPA/100/B-07/001, February 2007). The purpose of the White Paper is to inform EPA management of the science issues and needs associated with nanotechnology, to support related EPA program office needs, and to communicate these nanotechnology science issues to stakeholders and the public.

Nanotechnology - National Center For Environmental Research (NCER): Highlights EPA's research in nanotechnology and provides useful information on related research at EPA and in other organizations.

Nanotechnology and the Environment - A compilation of papers and presentations on nanotechnology and environmental impact presented by the Environmental Futures Project.

Center for Biological and Environmental Nanotechnology (CBEN) - The Center for Biological and Environmental Nanotechnology (CBEN) is a National Science Foundation (NSF) funded Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center (NSEC) at Rice University. Aiming to transform nanoscience into a field with the impact of a modern-day polymer science, CBEN focuses on research at the interface between "dry" nanomaterials and aqueous media such as biology and the environment, developing the nanoscience workforce of the future, and transferring discoveries to industry.
