MEETING LOCATION AND SECURITY
Upon entering the Ronald Reagan Building through one of the street entrances, you will be required to go through a security check and provide photo identification. When parking at the Ronald Reagan Building, all passengers will be required to provide photo identification and the vehicle will be screened upon entry. After entering the building, please go to the International Gateway, which is located on the Mezzanine Level (take escalator up one floor) of the building.
TRAVEL BY METRO
The Metro System operates from 5:30 a.m. to 12:00 midnight Monday through Thursday; 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Fridays; 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Saturdays; and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight on Sundays. The last trains leave some stations prior to midnight; see last train times posted in stations. Each passenger must buy a farecard to travel in the system. Guides for purchasing farecards are posted on the vending machines in each station. Each Metro car features a complete color-coded map. Station attendants on duty at each station can provide additional information on request.
The Federal Triangle metro stop (blue and orange lines) is connected to the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center by a covered passageway. In addition, Metro Center (blue, orange, and red lines) and Smithsonian (blue and orange lines) are within easy walking distance. For additional information, please visit: http://www.wmata.com.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport:
Take the George Washington Parkway to the 14th Street Bridge (veer left and follow the signs to Route 1). Turn right onto Pennsylvania Avenue. Drive 1 block to 13½ Street and turn right into the parking garage.
From Dulles International Airport:
Take the Dulles Access Road to 66 East toward Washington, DC (approximately 28 miles). After crossing over the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge, the road will turn into Constitution Avenue. Follow Constitution Avenue to 15th Street and turn left. Turn right onto Pennsylvania Avenue. Drive 1 block to 13½ Street and turn right into the parking garage.
From Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI):
Take I-195 West for 1.6 miles. Take exit 2B to get on MD 295 South toward the Baltimore/Washington Parkway. Drive for 22.5 miles. Take US-50 West/New York Avenue NE toward Washington. Follow 50 West to New York Avenue. Continue on New York Avenue until you come to 9th Street. Turn left on 9th Street and continue to Constitution Avenue. Turn right on Constitution Avenue, staying straight in the right lane. Continue 2 blocks and turn right onto 14th Street. Turn right onto Pennsylvania Avenue. Drive 1 block to 13½ Street and turn right into the parking garage.
From Points South:
Take I-95 to I-395. Follow 395 (approximately 8 miles) until you cross the 14th Street Bridge. Stay on the left across the 14th Street Bridge and follow 14th Street into town. Cross Constitution Avenue. Turn right onto Pennsylvania Avenue. Drive 1 block to 13½ Street and turn right into the parking garage.
From Points West:
Take I-66 across the Roosevelt Bridge. Once across, follow signs for Constitution Avenue. Continue on Constitution Avenue for approximately 9 blocks. Turn left on 15th Street, then turn right onto Pennsylvania Avenue. Drive 1 block to 13½ Street and turn right into the parking garage.
From Points North:
Take I-270 East to the Beltway (I-495.) Take 495 South toward Virginia. The sign will say 495 South/Richmond. Stay on 495 for approximately 3-5 miles. Take the George Washington Parkway (it only goes one way). Follow the Parkway for approximately 12 miles and take the exit marked Roosevelt Bridge. This road turns into Constitution Avenue. Turn left on 15th Street, then turn right onto Pennsylvania Avenue. Drive 1 block to 13½ Street and turn right into the parking garage.
From Points East:
Follow 50 West to New York Avenue. Continue on New York Avenue until you come to 9th Street. Turn left on 9th Street and continue to Constitution Avenue. Turn right on Constitution Avenue, staying straight in the right lane. Continue 2 blocks and turn right on 14th Street. Turn right onto Pennsylvania Avenue. Drive 1 block to 13½ Street and turn right into the parking garage.
PARKING AT THE RONALD REAGAN BUILDING
Public parking is available in an underground parking lot. Public access is available from 13½ Street off Pennsylvania Avenue, from 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. After 6:00 p.m., and on weekends, there are two additional entrances on 14th Street. The clearance for public access parking is 7 feet. There is no overnight parking for guests.
The guards will stop you at the entrance and conduct a search through your car, including your trunk. Please allow extra time for this procedure. Note: All car passengers will need to have government issued photo identification (e.g., driver’s license). The daily rate is $21.00 (subject to change). From the parking garage, take the elevator to the Concourse Level of the Ronald Reagan Building.
TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS FROM THE LOCAL AIRPORTS
From Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)
Taxi: Taxicabs are available at the exits of each terminal. Dispatchers are available at the exits to assist passengers. Approximate one-way fares to Washington, DC, range from $10-20 depending on your destination.
SuperShuttle: Upon arrival, proceed to the outside curb and contact the SuperShuttle representative. After hours, call 1-800-BLUE-VAN and press 1 for dispatch. For further information on SuperShuttle, visit http://www.supershuttle.com.
Rental Cars: Located in Parking Garage A, the rental cars are accessible via Courtesy Airport Shuttles.
Metrorail: The Metrorail stops adjacent to Terminals B and C. Metrorail farecards may be purchased from machines at either of two farecard plazas located on Level 2 near pedestrian bridges that lead into and out of Terminals B and C.
From Dulles International Airport (IAD)
Washington Flyer Taxi: Washington Flyer Taxicabs serve Dulles International Airport exclusively with 24-hour service to and from the airport. Taxicabs accept most major credit cards and provide transportation at metered rates to any destination within the Metropolitan Washington area. Follow the signs for “Ground Transportation” or “Taxi” to the lower level of the Main Terminal, where a taxicab dispatcher is on duty 24 hours a day. Approximate one-way fares to Washington, DC, range from $51-58. For return trips to the airport, call 703-572-TAXI to place a reservation.
SuperShuttle: Follow signs for ground transportation leading you directly to the SuperShuttle boarding area located on the ground level on the new outer curb. For additional information, please visit http://www.supershuttle.com.
Rental Cars: Rental car check-in facilities are open 24 hours a day. Rental car patrons are transported to the rental car agencies via shuttle buses. From Baggage Claim (lower) Level, go down any ramp, and proceed out of the building to the second curbside.
From Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)
Taxi: The BWI taxi stand is located just outside of the baggage claim area of the Lower Level of the BWI Airport Terminal. For more information, call 410-859-1100. One-way fares to Washington, DC, are approximately $80.
SuperShuttle: Follow signs for ground transportation leading you directly to the SuperShuttle boarding area located on the ground level on the new outer curb. For additional information, please visit http://www.supershuttle.com.
Rental Cars: BWI Airport has opened a rental car facility providing one-stop rental car shopping for customers. The facility is located at Stoney Run Road and New Ridge Road. Free shuttle service carries customers to and from the Airport. Passengers arriving on flights should take the free shuttle from the lower level terminal for a 10-minute ride to the new facility. When returning a vehicle, look for highway directional signs to the facility. A shuttle will take you to the terminal. All transactions occur at the facility.
FOOD COURT
A Food Court is available on the Concourse Level of the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center for lunch and a possible afternoon break. From the International Gateway Room on the Mezzanine Level, either use the elevator or a combination of stairs and escalator to go down two levels to the Concourse Level, then walk toward the Atrium. The Food Court is straight past the Atrium.
