Generation & Management
To help universal waste generators (e.g., handlers), transporters, and destination facilities understand how the universal waste regulations compare to other requirements, EPA summarized existing requirements in comparison tables. These tables are not intended to modify or affect in any way existing statutory or regulatory requirements. In addition, states can have more stringent requirements. In many cases, a state has lowered the allowable amounts for the conditionally exempt small quantity generators (i.e., less than 220 lb).
