What is E-waste and what are the concerns with it?

E-waste refers to electronics such as computers monitors, keyboards, cell phones, as well as, televisions, refrigerators, and other electricals that are discarded, donated, or otherwise no longer wanted or reusable. Electronic and electrical equipment consists of glass, plastics, and common and precious metals. If these materials are not properly managed, they can be released to the environment, where they can pose potential adverse risks to public health and the environment.

This webinar is useful for:
• Businesses or anyone unfamiliar with e-Waste standards and steps to certify them
• Anyone who needs to secure the services of a responsible recycler or refurbisher and wants to know who is certified and what that means
