The Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians Wastewater Treatment Plant serves about 350 reservation residents, tribal administrative buildings, and the Chumash Casino complex. The facility treats up to 130,000 gallons of wastewater per day using biological, chemical, physical, and ultraviolet treatment mechanisms. Treated wastewater is then discharged via Outfall 001 into Zanja de Cota Creek, a tributary of the Santa Ynez River.
