Tribal Pesticide Program Council Meeting – January 13-14, 2016

The Tribal Pesticide Program Council (TPPC) will meet on January 13-14, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time in Maricopa, Arizona. Tentative agenda topics include a State of the Council report; updates on regional tribal activities; and discussions on
- pollinator protection plans,
- strengthening tribal-state coordination,
- cooperative agreements,
- new worker protection requirements,
- proposed changes to the certification rule and
- concerns regarding pesticides and marijuana in Indian country.
The TPPC is a tribal technical resource and a program and policy development dialogue group focused on pesticide issues and concerns. It is composed of authorized representatives from federally recognized tribes, Indian nations and intertribal organizations.
The two-day meeting will be held at the Ak-Chin Indian Community located at 46200 W. Ralph Street, Maricopa, Arizona in the Healthy Earth and Clean Water rooms. Advance registration is required by January 6, 2016, using this link: http://extensioninfo.ucdavis.edu/tppc/register/.
