Nominations to the Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee Open until April 16, 2015

For Release: March 10, 2015

EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs is currently accepting nominations for the Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee (PPDC).  A federal advisory committee, PPDC provides advice and recommendations to the EPA on issues associated with pesticide regulatory development and reform initiatives, evolving public policy and program implementation issues, and science issues associated with evaluating and reducing risks from use of pesticides.

To maintain the broad representation outlined in the PPDC charter, nominees will be selected to represent: federal, state, local and tribal governments; pesticide industry and trade associations; pesticide user, grower and commodity groups; environmental and public interest groups; farm worker organizations; public health organizations; animal welfare groups; and academia. We seek highly qualified, racially and ethnically diverse candidates representing any of these groups.

Submit nominations by email with the subject line “PPDC Membership” to zimmerman.dea@epa.gov or by mail to Dea Zimmerman (LC-8J), US EPA, 77 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL  60604.

Nominations must be emailed or postmarked no later than April 16, 2015.

EPA initially announced the call for nominations in the Federal Register on February 13, 2015. EPA is extending the deadline for nominations from March 16 to April 16.  This extension will be announced in an upcoming Federal Register notice.

For additional information, including nomination requirements, please see the February 13, 2015 Federal Register notice.

If you have questions, contact Dea Zimmerman at the email above or call (312) 353-6344.
