EPA Solicits Applications for Technical Support for the Tribal Pesticide Program Council
For Release: April 7, 2015
EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs is soliciting applications to provide technical support for the Tribal Pesticide Program Council (TPPC) as it works to strengthen tribal pesticide programs. The TPPC informs member tribes of pesticide issues, promotes pesticide education and awareness, and assists in the establishment, development, and implementation of comprehensive tribal pesticide programs. The TPPC also is a forum for tribal pesticide and environmental officials to raise tribal pesticide program implementation issues to EPA, offer input on national pesticide policy that affects tribes and offer a network for officials to share information.
The total funding for the five-year period of the cooperative agreement is about $1.1 million, from July 1, 2015, through June 30, 2020. About $300,000 is expected to be available for the first year of the agreement, from July 1, 2015, through June 30, 2016.
Proposals are due by midnight Eastern Standard Time on May 21, 2015. Additional information is available on www.grants.gov, under Funding Opportunity Announcement EPA-OPP-2015-002. If you have questions, please contact Mary Powell at powell.mary@epa.gov.
