EPA is extending the public comment period for the draft product performance test guidelines, “Series 810—Product Performance Test Guidelines for Public Health Uses of Antimicrobial Agents.” The test guidelines have been reformatted to be more user friendly, to correct technical information, and to include updates from several antimicrobial testing policy documents issued since 2012. These are the guidelines most important when evaluating the effectiveness of products used in hospitals and other health care settings. The end of the comment period has been extended from August 17, 2015, to October 1, 2015.
