Summary

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is conducting the first five-year review of the Hiawatha Blvd Former Municipal Gas Plant (MGP) subsite of the Onondaga Lake Superfund site, located in the City of Syracuse in Onondaga County, New York. The Onondaga Lake Superfund site includes Onondaga Lake and a number of other sites that are situated on Onondaga Lake's shores or tributaries that have contributed contamination to, or threaten to contribute contamination to, Onondaga Lake. These sites, as well as the Onondaga Lake Bottom, are referred to as “subsites” of the Onondaga Lake site.
