Summary

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is conducting the first five-year review of the Geddes Brook/Ninemile Creek Site, part of the Onondaga Lake Superfund site, located in the Town of Geddes in Onondaga County, New York. The Onondaga Lake Superfund site includes Onondaga Lake and a number of other sites that are situated on or near Onondaga Lake's shores or tributaries that have contributed contamination to, or threaten to contribute contamination to, Onondaga Lake. These sites, as well as the Onondaga Lake Bottom site, which includes the Geddes Brook site, are referred to as “subsites” of the Onondaga Lake Superfund site.
