MEDIA ADVISORY: U.S. Navy hosts Red Hill Fuel Storage Tank public information workshop on March 14

HONOLULU - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Hawaii Department of Health will be attending a public information workshop hosted by the U.S. Navy and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) on March 14 to update the community on the Red Hill Fuel Storage Tank Administrative Order on Consent (AOC) project.

Several question and answer stations will allow the public to learn about efforts to evaluate and implement upgrades to the Red Hill Fuel Storage facility. Subject areas include infrastructure, operations and maintenance procedures, and ongoing work to investigate and monitor the groundwater under and around the facility’s tanks.

When: March 14, 2018, from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Where: Moanalua Middle School, 1289 Mahiole Street, Honolulu
