This is a vacant 20 acre parcel located near the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  It was formerly Allison Transmission Plant 2, now owned by the Speedway Redevelopment  Commission.  GM demolished the buildings in 2004 and removed contaminated soil, to meet EPA standards for future commercial/industrial reuse of the property.

September 2014

EPA plans to give public notice of its proposal that no further corrective action is necessary for the former Plant 2 parcel, and that the land is suitable for future commercial/industrial reuse.
