Example Two: Review of a Modeling Case
Models require a number of input parameters. Review of model applications can include independent checks of parameter values for reasonableness and estimates of travel times and concentrations.
The second example is from a corrective action plan where a model was used to design a pump and treat remediation system. We will work through some of the case using the outline below. A good portion of the case is beyond the scope of OnSite and we'll conclude by describing the next steps in reviewing the work.
- Overview of the Case
- Parameter Review
-
- Retardation Factor
- Effective Solubility
- Independent Transport Estimates
-
- Gradient
- Travel Time
- Concentration
- Conclusions
