Voluntary programs are an important component of EPA's ongoing efforts to work with industry sectors to address environmental challenges. We have heard from our partners in industry that targeted tools are needed to help facilities and companies choose the right voluntary program for themselves.

The voluntary programs guide is divided into two sections. The first section contains summaries of programs designed for individual companies or facilities. The one-page summaries provided are from twelve voluntary programs across EPA offices, and are organized by topic area. The second section, summarizes four additional voluntary programs that may be of broader interest to the specialty-batch chemical sector as a whole. An appendix to this document presents more detailed information on all 16 programs. The materials in the appendix are drawn from the official brochures and websites of the voluntary programs.

For more information on the individual voluntary programs, please contact the programs directly. Points of contact, phone numbers and web addresses are given in the document.
