Water: Monitoring & Assessment

Assessing The Health of Wetland Life: Policy, Science and Practice

From: National Meeting of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Biological Assessment of Wetlands Workgroup (BAWWG)

In partnership with the Izaak Walton League of America (IWLA), U.S. EPA's Biological Assessment of Wetlands Work Group's (BAWWG) National Meeting was held from May 14-16 in Orlando, Florida. In conjunction with IWLA's American Wetland Month conference, the meeting brought BAWWG concepts and methods to a wider audience of government, academic and non-profit agencies as well as commercial interests. Additionally, it provided an opportunity for BAWWG members to exchange information on their latest research, and to strategically plan future activities. Of special note were the 16 tribal representatives in attendance.

The meeting agenda (PDF) (2 pp, 288K) lists the presentations and describes the field trips.
