Mr. Larry Dorsey

Dear Mr. Dorsey:

Enclosed you will find hard copies of the three papers that constitute the upcoming November issue of Critical Reviews in Toxicology. We are providing them to you at this time so that they can be made available as background material for the December 9-10 meeting of the FIFRA Scientific Advisory Panel at which they will review the Proposed OPPTS Science Policy on Evaluating PPAR-alpha Agonist Induced Rodent Liver Tumors. You may also make copies of them to send out to the Panel members. We ask that you send the three papers as a bundle as an encouragement to have the members to read them all. We think that it is valuable for them, and others, to understand the thought process that created the generic human relevance framework, so they better understand how the PPAR workgroup reached the conclusions they did.

We also will send you this cover letter and the three papers as pdf files to that you can post them on the SAP website as background materials.

If you have any comments or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

/Signature/

Penelope A. Fenner-Crisp, Ph.D., DABT
Executive Director
