During a radiological emergency, mobile RadNet radiation monitors (often called ?Deployables?) can be sent anywhere in the country and quickly assembled. The Weather Monitoring Station reports precipitation measurements and the wind speed and direction. This helps emergency responders predict where the air might carry radioactive particles. The Satellite Transmitter sends data to emergency responders in a laboratory for analysis. The Gamma Spectrometer allows scientists to measure gamma radiation and identify potential sources.
The Low and High Volume Air Take Stations push air through filters, which catch radioactive particles. The filters are then sent to a laboratory for detailed analysis. The Power Station can be connected to either a regular power outlet or a mobile generator.
