The U.S. EPA's Office of Air and Radiation has requested that the Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee (CASAC) provide advice and recommendations on topical areas related to ambient air monitoring and methods developments. The new Subcommittee will be charged with reviewing the coarse particle methods testing study conducted by EPA and providing recommendations for use of these methods as reference or equivalent methods; and with reviewing the Agency's forthcoming ambient air monitoring strategy implementation plan.

The U.S. EPA" SAB Staff Office is announcing the formation of the CASAC Ambient Air Monitoring and Methods (AAMM) Subcommittee (hereinafter, the ``Subcommittee'') and is hereby soliciting nominations for this Subcommittee. The Subcommittee will provide EPA, through the CASAC, with advice and recommendations on the above subject. Nominations should be submitted in electronic format at: http://www.epa.gov/sab/sab_panel_form.htm no later than May 3, 2004.
