Murrieta Wastewater Project

Wastewater Construction Project

EPA is considering the award of a Wastewater Infrastructure grant to the City of Murrieta to install sewer lines as part of a new sanitary sewer system in developed portions of the City. The proposed project will involve the construction of 18,000-19,000 linear feet of wastewater conveyance lateral and trunk sewers within existing roadways.

EPA’s involvement in the Murrieta, California project is part of a national commitment to improve water quality. In compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), an Environmental Assessment (EA) has been prepared that analyzes the potential environmental impacts of the proposed project. Based on a review of the EA, EPA determined that the project will not have significant environmental impacts and has issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI).
