Region 5 Case Studies

These are Superfund Sites in Region 5 where Ecological Technical Center ecologists have had a role in developing the ecological risk assessment study. They may or may not fit directly into the 8-Step Ecological Risk Assessment Guidance. Please note that the site descriptions, especially concerning contaminants present at the site, may not represent the current situation. This is particularly the case if remedial or removal actions have taken place since the Ecological Risk Assessment (ERA) was performed. These case-studies are provided to give examples of how these sites were evaluated for ecological risk.
