Upcoming Alternative Technologies Events
Annual Conference
In Spring, 2008, EPA will host the first annual Alternative Technologies Conference to bring attention to activities from the previous year:
- highlight development of alternatives technologies
- review marketplace penetration/barriers
- discuss relevant emerging issues, such as the development of standards.
Conducted annually in different locations around the country, the conference will showcase the growth of alternative technologies and research and demonstrations of priority products as well as providing a forum for stakeholder interactions.
Networking Conference Calls
Throughout the year, EPA’s contractor will coordinate at least 6 conference calls on special topics of interest to stakeholders. The topic areas will be determined through input from the Expert Panel and other stakeholders, and will be a forum for the presentation of critical information on current topics, as well as an opportunity for facilitated discussion and issue development. The calls will enable EPA to maintain contact with stakeholders more often than the annual conference, and will provide the continuity needed for ongoing progress in key program areas.
