The Intel Corporation (Intel) has completed a Project XL demonstration at its semiconductor manufacturing facility in Chandler, Arizona. Intel implemented an Environmental Management Master Plan that included a facility-wide cap on air emissions to replace individual permit limits for different air emissions sources. Intel analyzed the program's effectiveness in quarterly and annual reports and provides additional information on its website. The Project’s Final Project Agreement for the pilot study expired in 2007. Although the Project XL demonstration has officially ended, Intel continues to perform ongoing monitoring, prepares quarterly reports, and hosts an annual meeting with interested stakeholders to provide an update on their continued environmental progress.
