Re: Merck XL Project
Dear Mr. Barry,
As community representative for the Merck XL Project, Elkton, Virginia, I would like to extend a sincere thanks to the Department of Interior, the National Park Service, and the Shenandoah National Park for supporting the Elkton community, as well as Rockingham County at the EPA hearing which was held at Harrisonburg, Virginia, April 14.
Allowing community voting participation at the review process remains a serious unresolved issue. The community believes that it is imperative for the three community representatives to have a vote along with the other voting signatories regarding proposed changes to the PSD permit at the five year reviews.
Your continued support would be deeply appreciated in helping the community, as well as the other stakeholders to satisfactorily resolve this disturbing problem.
Sincerely,
Betty S. Sellers
