Tolerance Reassessment Process Cover Sheet

• After discussions with TRAC Workgroup #2, the Agency felt it would be a good idea to develop principles for establishing a Tolerance Reassessment Process.

• At TRAC Workgroup #2, two major options were put on the table for tolerance reassessment approaches: one was a phased cumulative reassessment approach, and the other a cumulative reassessment approach. Attached are two flowcharts and narrative descriptions of the key elements of each of these approaches.

• For TRAC #3, the Agency would like to see the TRAC focus on:

1. Comments on the Principles for the tolerance reassessment process.
2. To come out of the meeting with a basic understanding of the key elements of the two alternative approaches.
3. For the TRAC to help direct the Workgroup on the issues and questions that the Workgroup, Agency, and Department should be addressing in considering the alternative approaches.
